Pulp - making Process

In the pulp - making stage of papermaking, whether it is mechanical pulping or chemical pulping, foam is generated. During mechanical pulping, the cutting and friction of fibers cause air to be mixed in, forming foam; during chemical pulping, the reaction between the cooking chemicals and raw materials such as wood also generates foam. Defoamers can reduce the interference of foam on the pulp - making process and improve the quality and production efficiency of the pulp. For example, it can prevent the foam from carrying fibers and enable the fibers to be better dispersed in the pulp, thereby improving the strength and smoothness of the paper.

Papermaking Process

During the paper - forming process, when the pulp is filtered on the wire to form a wet paper web, foam is generated. This foam will affect the uniformity and strength of the paper. Defoamers can eliminate the foam, making the papermaking process more stable and ensuring the quality of the paper. In addition, during the coating process of paper, the foam in the coating also needs to be eliminated by defoamers to obtain a smooth and uniform coating.
