Performance effects

Oily fluorine-free waterproofing agents usually need to be diluted with solvents before use. They can be diluted with ethyl acetate, petroleum ether (60-90 or 90-120), n-hexane, n-heptane, D10 solvent, D40 solvent, 120# solvent(white oil).

Instructions for use

  1. Fabric preparation waterproofing agent is generally used in the final process. The webbing and thread must be cleaned as much as possible after dyeing, and must not contain any acid, alkali, salt or surfactant, so as to ensure a uniform waterproof finishing effect.

  2. Soak the thread and tape completely in the waterproofing agent, then dehydrate, dry at room temperature or air dry, and you can get an excellent waterproof effect (practice has shown that if the soaking time reaches more than 30 minutes, the waterproof effect will be significantly improved).

  3. To avoid waste or increase production costs, the remaining waterproofing agent after soaking can be recycled and reused.


Matters needing attention

Before mass production, it is recommended that you conduct a small experiment in advance to verify the degree of influence of the waterproof agent on the fabric color and preliminarily determine the waterproof finishing effect.

When using oily waterproof agents, in order to achieve the best waterproof effect, you must adhere to the "two dry and one wet" principle: that is, the thread tape must be "dry" before soaking in the waterproof agent; soaking in the waterproof agent must be "wet"; after soaking in the waterproof agent and dehydration, the thread tape must be air-dried or dried until "dry".


Safety/Sanitation

  1. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and prolonged breathing of its vapor or particles. Wash hands before smoking or eating.

  2. Good ventilation system should be provided in the place where oily waterproofing agent is used.

  3. It is recommended that you wear gloves, goggles or masks to protect your hands and eyes and avoid contact with skin and eyes.

  4. If there is splashing during production, first cover it with chemically inert absorbent, then clean it to the specified chemical waste storage place, and finally clean the contaminated area with water.

  5. Oily waterproofing agent has good storage stability. Avoid freezing and can be stored at room temperature for 1 year. After more than 1 year, its viscosity will slowly increase but will not affect the application performance. Storage temperature exceeding 38℃ will accelerate the volatilization of gas, resulting in an increase in the air pressure in the tank, which should be checked regularly.

  6. Pay attention to sealing after opening, avoid open flames and direct exposure to the sun, and place it in a cool and ventilated warehouse.

  7. The storage, transportation and use of this product should comply with the general hygiene and safety regulations for the storage and transportation of chemicals, and it cannot be swallowed.
