Condensation silicone is a type of silicone rubber that cures by a condensation reaction. In this process, compounds containing silanol (Si-OH) groups react with other substances containing reactive groups (such as alkoxy groups in silane crosslinkers) to form siloxane (Si-O-Si) bonds, thereby converting the silicone from a liquid to a solid state.
